Elena holds a Law degree from the Autonoma University of Madrid, a business management course by the Autonoma University of Madrid and a Tax Law course by the School of Prácticas Jurídicas and attended several Patent courses given by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office in collaboration with the Autonoma University of Barcelona.

Since starting her practice in Intellectual Property in 1990, Elena is exclusively specialized in patent and industrial Model prosecution both national and international, as well as overseas and community designs.

She joined Abril Abogados in 2005 and is responsible of PCT, European Patent, overseas patent and industrial model, community design prosecution for local and foreign client portfolios.
