Carlos obtained his Law degree in 1984 at the University of Buenos Aires.
Attorney at Law admitted in 1995 in Madrid Bar, he has wide experience in Intellectual Property in both prosecution and litigation fields.
He is founding partner of Abril Abogados in charge of international and national client’s portfolios in South and Central America. Carlos has been recognised by different international publication rankings such as Chambers & Partners, WTR and Legal 500 as an “eminent partner” in 2014. In 2015, Chambers & Partners highlighted his “vision, knowledge and ability to teach you to plan for difficulties.”
Carlos was the former Director of the Spanish IP law firm Henson & Co. He has been regular lecturer at the Master Magister Lucentinus (Intellectual Property Law), University of Alicante and other National and International forums and seminars. . He regularly publishes articles of opinion in major economic press and has been co-author of the book “La Propiedad de la sociedad del conocimiento” edited by the Comunidad de Madrid and “Estudios de Derechos de Autor y Propiedad Industrial Homenaje al Licenciado Jose Luis Caballero Cárdenas” from the Editorial Porrúa.
He is an active member of international association as INTA, AIPPI and ASIPI and is currently the Secretary of the Administrative Committee of firms of ASIPI.
